Statute of the International Poster Competition

1. General Conditions of Participation
The competition is open to professional graphic designers, art school students, and graphic producers from around the world, aged 18 and over.
Each participant may submit up to three posters that they consider to be the best among their artistic works, created between 2021 and 2024.
2. Competition Themes
Open Poster: This theme allows designers to express their creativity and artistic style without thematic restrictions. Posters can reflect personal opinions, social issues, or cultural phenomena.
Eco Poster: This theme focuses on the urgency of environmental issues caused by global warming, such as fires, extreme rainfall, droughts, floods, and tornadoes. The aim is to raise awareness of these issues and inspire ecological action.
3. Submission Requirements
Participants must submit:
1. One print of each poster in B1 format (700×1000 mm) with a marked registration label (download).
2. A completed registration form (download).
3. A digital version of the poster sent to pqb@pqb.sk in JPG format — 21x30 cm — 300 dpi — RGB.
The submission deadline is March 31, 2025. The last accepted submissions must have this date stamped on the postmark.
4. Sending Posters
Posters must be marked on the back in the bottom right corner with a registration label filled in block letters in English or Slovak.
The marked, unfolded, and secured poster against damage during transport must be sent to:

The organizer does not cover expenses related to the customs clearance of shipments, does not take responsibility for delayed delivery or damage during transport. Shipments must be marked as "printed matter of a non-commercial value."
5. Evaluation of Works
All submitted posters will go through an evaluation and selection process managed by a jury composed of seven members. The jury’s decision is final.

7. Special Provisions
The organizer reserves the right to refuse the participation of posters that the jury deems offensive to the morals or culture of any nation, or those that do not meet the requirements of this statement.
The organizer has the right to exhibit and publish selected works for non-commercial purposes.
By signing the registration form, the author agrees to the competition conditions.
All submitted and awarded posters will be published in a collective catalog.
Accepted works are not returned to participants; they remain archived at the Poster Quadrennial Bardejov.
8. Validity of the Statute
This competition regulation is valid for the year 2025.
